Collectivizing political mandates: A discursive approach to the Brazilian Bancada Ativista’s campaign in the 2018 elections

چکیده
This article analyses the political campaign of rather under-researched Bancada Ativista, a prefigurative progressive experience comprised nine co-candidates running for single seat in State Chamber Sao Paulo during 2018 Brazilian elections. The brought about by Ativista stands as prolific effort its aim to transform legislative action, responding challenges posed contemporary crisis representative democracy. By taking Essex School’s discourse theory standpoint, this critically explores discursive composition Bancada’s and significance electoral success light crisis-driven politics.
